How to ... Make a hyphen

As in other instances, the long dashes or hyphens created in MS Word (or like processors) don't translate well in Movable Type. How to create them, then?

You can use the old -- thing. That'll work, but looks a tad cheesy.

Or, as we recommend, you could use this code:

That gets you a nice, solid hyphen, or dash, or whatever.
