While we tend to rely on our alliance with the newspaper, Web site and TV station as the main means of our promotion, it's probably not a bad idea at all to start getting in the mindset of "independent" bloggers.
That means using existing methods of "building relationships" within your area of experience to build your blog's credibility and strength.
